Asst. Principal 9th Grade
Welcome to Central Dauphin High School!
My name is Justin Newkam, and I am proud to serve as an Assistant Principal at Central Dauphin High School. I began my career in education in 2000 after graduating from Lycoming College, where I majored in History, minored in Education, and was a member of the wrestling team.
I started teaching at East Pennsboro School District as an alternative education teacher before moving into the classroom as a 7th grade geography teacher—a role I held for 16 years. I then transitioned into administration, serving as the Assistant Principal at East Pennsboro Middle School. In 2019, I was fortunate to join the leadership team at Central Dauphin High School.
I truly love the staff, students, and community of Central Dauphin. Each day, I work hard to inspire a culture where all students are valued, empowered, and encouraged to reach their full potential. I believe that through a strong sense of belonging, academic excellence, and a culture of care, we can create an environment where both students and staff thrive. My goal is to support our school community in fostering growth, resilience, and lifelong success.
