Nala the Therapy Dog

Meet Nala, the Australian labradoodle!

Nala is the beloved therapy dog of the Central Dauphin School District, bringing warmth, comfort, and joy to students and staff alike. A female Australian Labradoodle, Nala was born on April 22, 2023, and was named by the very students she now serves each day.

Specially trained to support emotional well-being, Nala visits our school daily and follows a rotational schedule, spending time in classrooms alongside trained staff. Whether it’s offering a calming presence during a tough day, helping students manage anxiety, or simply spreading happiness with a wag of her tail, Nala is here to assist and connect with everyone she meets.

Her gentle demeanor and compassionate spirit make her an essential part of our school community. Nala is more than a dog — she is a trusted friend, a source of comfort, and a dedicated member of the Central Dauphin family.
